The reality is that modern games should work fine with no real tweaking required, while even many games over a decade old work fine today.

No worries about that! Eliminate what software conflicts? In this instance it cannot be a software conflict with the amount of times config files etc are requested to "review" for said conflicts. Would've thought by now a pattern would appear and the conflicts resolved! In the last week my game freezes every time i play on PC. I have tried suggested fixes no good. This problem if you go back has been popping up for almost a year.
It is not new problems. So stop with the fix advice and Fix the problems. You know these problems have occurred before so try and do something about it. Div2 has been pretty unstable on and off since launch. Also anyone having problems with screen jittering after last Nvidia update, delete the last update, problem solved.
