Dejame que te cuente jorge bucay english edition

It's an easy, special little book that is quite unique. Full of short stories which originate from different cultures and make you think about yourself and life in general. It took me by surprise and i totally loved it. Good book for therapeutical work For psychologists etc.

Jorge Bucay is always great! I have read this book twice within a long time range, long enough to forget most of the book's details in between. When reading this type of books I have the habit of marking pages with content that I found insightful. Interestingly, I noticed that the parts that I found most insightful were in many cases different during the second reading, showing that even though me and the circuimstances around me have changed the book is still timely.

I found the book extremely helpful and loved it both tim I have read this book twice within a long time range, long enough to forget most of the book's details in between. I found the book extremely helpful and loved it both times I read it. It is easy to read, relaxing and in many cases awakening. All the stories are deeply educative and although they all have the same centre - a young student with everyday struggles - it is hard to think of someone that doesn't share at least some of Demian's concerns and that the stories wouldn't apply to him.

Personally, I couldn't help the feeling that some stories were put there for me to provide answers to some personal internal questions. Thank you Mr. I would totally recommend it and am planning to re-read it in the future after the necessary time to forget it again has passed! I will come back to this book in some time in my life, I just know it.

This book is full of wisdom, neatly packaged into stories that are beeing told in therapy-sessions. The overarching story itself isn't really important, but it doesn't have to be. The main appeal of this book, to me at least, are the stories the therapist tells the narrator. They are about everything in life. Be it fear, happiness, expectations or Lies.

You will enjoy this book the most if you really try to understand what ev I will come back to this book in some time in my life, I just know it. You will enjoy this book the most if you really try to understand what every story wants to tell you. At the Core of each story there is a realisation about the topic in question. I did not read this book carefull enough. I bet I missed the meaning of a lot of stories so I know that I will read this once in a while, even if It's just so I can re-read a story I loved.

Short stories embedded in a series of therapy sessions and lighthearted conversations between a therapist and his patient - entertaining but with deep meaning hidden behind the short stories - taken from different cultures and religions. A collection of short stories that give you answers to a lot of questions. Made me reflect on feelings and questions I am confronted with often. That was definitely one of the best books ive ever read.

Fast pace and didn't feel at all like a psychology book. Loved the stories That was definitely one of the best books ive ever read. Loved the stories I loved how the book turns into a self-help guide as you read story after story and begin to find yourself in Demian's problems and start to implement Jorge's pieces of advice into solving your own daily struggles.

The stories are brilliantly told, and what makes them even better is Jorge carefully choosing them and adressing them to each of Demian's hardships.

Making it easier for the reader to recognize a situation in his life where a certain lesson should be applied. This was my second time re I loved how the book turns into a self-help guide as you read story after story and begin to find yourself in Demian's problems and start to implement Jorge's pieces of advice into solving your own daily struggles.

This was my second time reading this book, with barely remembering having it read the first time. Therefore, not only would I recommend it to anyone seaking easy, yet stimulating read, but I also advise you to grab it every once in a while.

Because, no matter how inspiring the stories are, there is a slight chance of you actually remembering all of them and putting them into actions. When I first started to read this book, I thought: this therapist is one big high hat with self esteem higher than Eiffel Tower. He wants to show up too much for my taste. But it is a hell of a good therapist, some of his stories are still sitting in my mind making it stir Like the one about lying and liars. I don't feel hurt any longer because someone had lied to me!

Anyway, I become interested in this type of therapy. This book compiles great fables and stories written in different cultures by different authors that make you think for good a great deal. Really like it. Don't know if there is a version in English. Love, Joaquin This book compiles great fables and stories written in different cultures by different authors that make you think for good a great deal.

Love, Joaquin Great book! It's worth reading and not just once. All those stories make you start to think about life, our characteristics, our behaviour. Great book. Very simply written and very light. Every chapter is basically a story that the psychotherapist is telling to his patient Damien and every story has a hidden meaning. The stories are very beautiful and inspiring. This is a great book. A delghtful mish-mash of folkelore and parables, all explaining life's quandries.

Jorge Bucay, ingeniously, uses his characters, Damien and himself as conduits for this. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Be the first to start one ». Readers also enjoyed.
