If above is not your problem, is this a disc based copy, or downloaded, or on steam? In reply to A. User's post on December 20, Batman arkham city uses autosave so i can't manually save my progress. Installing it is no problem, i checked for compatibility but there is no info. I have Windows 8.
I've tried downloading Games for Windows live and i even have an account on it, but whenever i try to open it it needs an update. But even when i download the update it is stil telling me that i need an update. Is it possible that Games for Windows live doens't work on Windows 8? In reply to brechtie11's post on December 20, After over 2. I was able to FINALLY save my progress only after installing the game on a Windows 7 machine, creating and starting a game, allowing it to save a few times, and then copying some files to a thumb drive, then to my Windows 8 machine.
All your saved progress from your Windows 7 system from here where the "e The xlive. Also, if you have an Nvidia-based graphics card or integrated graphics chip, consider disabling the Nvidia physx feature in the game's settings, because it prevented the in-game GFWL bar from appearing and also prevented saving.
In reply to DWinner's post on March 8, When I try to open program, it says it's not a valid Win32 application. What is the problem? Originally posted by vojapec :. Originally posted by kersjous :. I have XP, this version of net framework is for Win 7 and others. Is there any other way? Last edited by Andrew ; 19 Oct, am. Hahahaha, it works! Thank you very much! Glad I could help. If someone could provide me with an Arkham Asylum save that has not yet been altered had the GFWL stuff removed please do send it to me so I can add support for patching.
Thanks, works perfect. Really easy as well. Unfortunately I don't have access to a copy right now. I'll try to find one, but for now hopefully we can do something to move forward. Also can you try running the actual game as an Administrator? This could be a simple write permissions issue. I installed GFWL and when I try to launch it, it does not want to connect hence that service is no longer available.
I also tried already with " run as administrator " on both the game exe and launcher exe. Still same result. So I don't misunderstand, are you prevented from creating an offline account at any point? That was the old "workaround" for GFWL.
I still haven't been able to get a copy but I've searched for other cases like this. While save issues are legion, I don't see much in the way of Origin-specific ones. It's kinda a long shot, but it can't hurt to check. I have already xbox or microsoft account on games for windows live because I already played this game.
But the problem now is that I can't even start the program, tried what you said with compatibility, and changed even date and still can't start the app. When I start it I get " Can't start the program.
There may be a problem with your internet connection or the LIVE service. Somehow this game uses apperently that software for saving the game. So I wonder how I can bypass this since there is no this app anymore. I see that you are really trying to help me out and I really appreciate, but I think it will be much easier also for you if you could get your hands on this game on Origin. If they do have it on this game you can try it like that.
